Greg Plitt is one of the most famous and fittest models these days. He makes a lot of motivational speeches for upcoming models and people who want to meet their day-to-day goals in the gym.

During one of his motivational speeches, Greg Plitt talked about the concept of injury and pain. Apparently people confuse injury and pain to an extent that it creates two groups. The first group ignores injury, thinking that it is muscular pain and keeps on going. These people, later on, suffer from massive internal injury, or consequences of ignoring the early symptoms.

The other category is comprised of people who like to ignore “pain” by confusing it with injury. This latter kind gives up on working out. Eventually their long absence gives into a sudden and permanent refusal to exercise anymore.

The Truth about Pain and Injury | How to Handle It?

Injuries are inevitable when you are exercising. They will start with pain. Your job is to make sure that it is indeed an injury which requires medical attention. If there is no apparent damage or visible bleeding, this “injury” can also be confused easily with muscular pain.

A great way to deal with this situation is to wait for a period of 48 hours. Within this period, you will have to massage the affected area with massage oil. This will get the blood circulation going on and you will feel warmth within that region of the body. As a result, this “pain” is supposed to subside.

Now, in the other scenario if this massage thing doesn’t work, then there is definitely an internal injury. While you are oscillating between the pain and injury dilemma, keep your workout to a minimal. Have your injury looked at and take proper rest if diagnosed by the doctor. Good luck.
